I often feel that within the making of a painting,
many small artworks appear in passing,
ephemeral and transient.

In this series, I give them space and permanence,
their own life and presence.

Photographed as they surface
and brought onto paper singular works,
later softened and enriched
with pastels, watercolors and oil sticks,

each image holds a brief instant of becoming.
